E.l.f Kabuki Brush Review

Hello,
Just a quickie review tonight because I'm home earlier than I thought and blogging is clearly the best way to use my bonus evening :)
I've always been someone who applies foundation with my fingers because I don't get on with foundation brushes and none of my other brushes were really suitable for for years I just got on with it. Recently though I've been getting so fed up with not getting the perfect finish that I want that I started having a look at alternatives. Initially the obvious choices were the buffing and stippling brushes from Real Technics but after looking at them in Boots I decided they just didn't excite me. They were a lot smaller than I was hoping and I didn't like the design of them. Instead, I was drawn the the kabuki brushes which were bigger, just as full and, in my opinion, had a much better shape. Not wanting to shell out too much I came home and had a look on the E.l.f website at theirs.
I chose the studio kabuki face brush and haven't looked back since.

The brush is perfectly sized. Not too small and not too big. You can also get a body kabuki brush which I was tempted to buy because I like face brushes to be nice and big but I'm glad I picked this one as it is just the right size. The bristles are made of synthetic taklon which makes the brush vegan friendly which is an added bonus. Instead of a long handle, kabuki brushes come with a short base which I prefer as it allows more control over application and is also easier to buff in circles which is the way to get that flawless finish.

As you can see in the photos, the bristles are incredibly dense and are shaped into a light dome. This means that the brush picks up products really well and gives a lovely flawless finish. What I really love about this brush though is how wonderfully soft it is. My previous powder brush become so well used that it started to get rather scratchy but this brush is super soft and if perfect for applying both liquid and powder so I use it for foundation and setting powder.
The other great thing about this brush is that I've not had any shedding at all, not a single hair which is brilliant for sure a low cost purchase.
