TIGI Bed Head Blonde Bombshell Giveaway!

So it's been a little while. I had a tonsillectomy on Monday morning so for the last few days I've had zero energy and lots of pain but earlier on I managed to gather a bit of energy to take some photos for posts for the next week or so which means I can blog to distract myself :)

I've loved the Bed Head range from TIGI for a long time. I like that the products are reasonably priced, good sized and the tongue in cheek style makes me smile.
The Blonde Bombshell* kit is the perfect one stop gift for both natural blondes and those who colour their hair. Containing three full sized products; the Dumb Blonde Colour Combat Shampoo, Dumb Blonde Colour Combat Conditioner and the Dumb Blonde Colour Combat Leave-in Conditioner it is a good all rounder.
Colour combat technology helps to not only lock in the true colour and keep it vibrant but it also deep conditions and works to actively strengthen the hair.

Now, if you're a regular reader of my blog then you'll notice that I am a brunette telling you all about a gift set designed specifically for blonde hair. That is because I was lucky enough to have been sent this kit to pass on to you guys and I'll be honest, I'm actually kind of jealous. I love TIGI Bed Head products and have used the Colour Goddess collection which is designed for brunettes and trust me, the lucky winner is in for a treat.

So how can you win? Simple. All you have to do is fill in the Raflecopter form below and when the competition closes on 8th December I will select a winner at random and post out the prize. I'm afraid the giveaway is for UK entrants only and I will be checking entries to make sure there's no cheating!

Good Luck!

Ultimate Summer Driving Playlist

A couple of weeks ago I was approached to take part in a competition with the money supermarket to share my ultimate summer driving playlist. Due to my little blog break (totally unplanned but life kind of got in the way) my post is a little later in coming than planned but here we are!
My summer playlist usually consists of a wild mash up of all the music that makes me feel good, no matter what the genre. Think David Bowie meets Amanda Palmer meets Tenacious D meets Adam Ant meets System of a Down and you're getting there :)

1. Number one this year has to be Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke. Many hours have been spent so far this summer skanking to this in the car.

2. Number two has to be a bit of Hugh Laurie with Tipatina. Volume up, on a sunny day this cannot be beaten.

3. Numero tres takes a much calmer, sensual turn in the form of Quizas Quizas Quizas by Gaby Moreno. Such a calm and beautiful voice.

4. Number four is THE song of the summer for me. Every year there is that one song that sums up summer for you, Avicii I Could Be the One does that for me this year.

5. Number five is a song that I've loved for a long time now. It has such a feel of freedom and movement I think which is perfect for summer. It has to be Wake Up by The Arcade Fire. It must be good, David Bowie has sung a version of it with them live several times ;)

6. Sing- The Dresden Dolls (my favourite song of all time)
7. Heroes- David Bowie
8. The Love Cats- The Cure
9. Peephole- System of a Down
10. Levels- Avicii

Like I say, I like to listen to a mix of everything in the summer, the only thing in common being that every single song makes me feel amazing :)

What sort of music do you find yourself listening to? Any stand out songs for you?

Boohoo Party Pose Blogger Competition

There's lots of fabulous christmas party clothing floating around at the moment to tempt you in and make sure that we're all getting excited about christmas parties. Boohoo are currently running a #partypose competition for bloggers to promote their range of gorgeous sparkly things, the prize being a £100 boohoo voucher for the winning blogger and a £250 for them to offer one lucky follower :)
What you have to do is put together a christmas party outfit for under £100 using at least three Boohoo pieces. Simples.
I likes the sound of that!

I've gone for black and gold pieces, my total favourite for christmas time. Theres something so opulent and magical about gold so its fab for celebrating at christmas.

Skirt: I chose this gorgeous sequined mini skirt because its really special without looking too formal. The black and white help to break up the gold detail so that it isn't too over the top. £25.00

Top: So pretty. I love the slightly edgy look of the gold sequins against the black mesh of the top. I'm going for LOTS of sequins but the black coming through between the gold breaks it up and keeps the look young and means it isn't too much paired with the skirt. £20.00

Tights: Black tights were a must to contrast. I think fake suspender tights are a great look, and very now so make the outfit more grown up without making it boring. £10.00

Shoes: More sequins! Christmas is the perfect time to treat yourself to some amazing party shoes and I can see these looking so bold against the thick black tights and shining in the lights :) £35.00

Accessories: With such a bold outfit I kept accessories simple and just opted for this thick gold cuff to catch the eye and complete the look. £8.00

So all together my #partypose outfit comes to £98 which is pretty fab for a whole outfit including some amazing shoes!

If you want to take part in the Boohoo #partypose competition then check out the details *here*

What do you think of my outfit? How fab are those shoes?! Will you be entering the competition?

The Lust List- Feel Unique Edition

Its been a bad couple of days, I'm stuck at home with flu so I'm going a little stir crazy. Because of this I was really happy to find that Louise from The Beauty of Louise has a competition running on her blog to win £80 to spend on the feel unique website.
To get the chance to win you have to put together a little collage showing what you would pick if you were to win the £80 and post it on your blog.
I love competitions like this because it takes a bit of time and really gets you thinking...plus I love making wish lists :P So here's what I would choose if I won.
1. First of all I would pick up a bottle of Topping Lane by Nails Inc. Since testing this out on one nail several months ago in Debenhams I haven't been able to get it out of my head.

2. Not necessarily second on the collage, but next, I would buy this fab pink hairdryer from Remington because I actually do not own a hairdryer, I've just never got round to buying one and I think the time has come.

3. To go with the hairdryer, I would pick up a bottle of KMS volumizing heat defense spray because I'm pretty vain when it comes to my hair and I wouldn't want to frazzle it with the dryer.

4. I would also treat myself to my first Dainty Doll purchase in the form of this gorgeous red lipstick. I'm a sucker for a red lipstick so this really appeals to me.

5. Finally, as there is very little I need, and because she always spoils me, I would treat my mum to a little present and get her this lovely and warming tangerine and cranberry scented candle. I love burning scented candles and this one being vegan and made of soya wax, it makes me extra happy :)

So those are my picks. What do you think? Are you going to enter Louise's fabulous competition? What would you buy if you were to win £80 at feel unique?

Mini Giveaway Details

Hello,
Isn't the weather today awful?! I was meant to be going into town but I really can't be bothered to battle the elements!
Last night I wrote a post asking for your feedback on Three Little Buhos. As a little thank you for your help I am hosting a little giveaway for those who comment with their feedback. So what could you win? Here's the prizes.
On offer I have a bottle of my very favourite E.l.f nail varnish shade which is Mint Green, a tube of Nivea Glamorous Gloss which is a great treatment for lips as well as looking very pretty, and a sampled sized tube of Clarins Hyrda-Matte Lotion which is an amazing face cream that also works wonders for keeping shine at bay during the day.
This isn't a big giveaway I know but is instead a thank you for those who take the time to give me a little feedback. I have a proper, larger giveaway planned for when I reach 100 followers.

So here's what I want to know:

I'd like to know what your favourite posts are to read on Three Little Buhos and what you'd like to read more of. I'd also like to know what your very favourite beauty product is and why you love it.

Thats it, just a couple of little answers and you could win yourself some cute little goodies. The only rule is that you must be a UK follower of my blog and need to let me know what platform you follow on as well as answering these three little questions.

Originally I planned to only run this giveaway until 6pm today, however, I have decided to extend this until 6pm on Friday 27th April.

Good luck, and thank you :)

23 June 2011

Today has just become a very good day :)

Yayy, after a fairly boring day of washing, writing essays for my wedding planning course and frantically stitching birdies for a sale I'm doing on saturday, my day has been made.
A few days ago I entered a competition on a fellow folksyer's blog to win a pair of her beautiful handmade earrings and I've just found out that I won :) Now as someone who never wins anything, this excites me! Hugely!

I just wanted to share my excitement and also post you peeps a link to her fantastic shop which is full of lovely things which would all make perfect gifts or treats :) http://www.folksy.com/shops/frankie
And here is a link to her fabby blog where I entered the competition :) http://trinket-box.blogspot.com/
Please go and show her shop all the love it deserves (which is lots!)

And on a totally unrelated note, I really will add a photo of my new stock tomorrow, honest! Lots of pretty birdies for you to see :)
